Two Men Face Federal Meth-Trafficking Charges

Two men out of southwestern Virginia are currently facing federal charges related to meth trafficking within the region.

 

32-year-old Justin Kyle Elliot and 55-year-old Randall Scott Hileman were both indicted on Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Big Stone Gap.

 

Both men have been charged with conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of meth, distributing meth, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The crimes are claimed to have taken place between March of 2021 and September of this year.

 

An investigation into the drug ring began after Elliot and one other person were discovered passed out within a car while in the drive-thru lane of Miner’s Exchange Bank in Coeburn.

 

Elliot is being held in the regional jail in Abington while Hileman is being held in Duffield.
