The Bell County Man who has been reported missing since December 12th was found dead on Friday.

The Bell County Dispatch received a call at 1:30 pm Friday of a body being found in an area along Highway 221.

Officials on the scene identified the man as 70 year old Woodrow M. Barton. The area where Barton’s body was found is roughly a mile from the residence in Bradfordtown where he was last seen alive.

Officials are still investigating the cause of Barton’s death and awaiting autopsy results.
