The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced they have trucks throughout the state to treat and plow roads. The truck drivers are reporting that roads are covered up with lots of blowing snow and conditions are extremely slick. Roads throughout the state have been closed due to crashes caused by the road conditions.

The extremely cold temperatures prevent the ice from melting with salt and calcium chloride. Drivers should expect road conditions to last through the weekend.
