A new superintendent has been named for the Perry County School System.

In a Facebook post on Monday evening, Perry County Schools’ Board members selected Kent Campbell to the position. Campbell is the current principal at West Perry Elementary School.

Campbell will succeed Jonathan Jett, who had announced his plans for retirement earlier this fall. The change will take effect on December 31st, following Jett’s nearly-30-year-long career in education.
