An update from the Big Stone Gap Fire Department:

BSGFD was paged for a structure fire at 318 Wyandotte Avenue East. Reports of an initial explosion. Engine 51 responded within minutes to find apartment 2 fully engulfed with the fire spreading to the adjacent apartments. Valley and Appalachia Fire Departments were paged to assist. Apartment 2 has extensive damage with roof collapse. The other apartments have fire and smoke damage. All occupants were out and accounted for. This was one of 4 calls for BSGFD on the day.
