An update from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department:

MCSO would like to alert you to ongoing phone scams occurring in our area.  Scammers are calling citizens claiming to be law enforcement with a notice that they have a warrant for your arrest.  The scammers claim the issue can be cleared up by paying fines using the crypto currency Bitcoin.  THIS IS A SCAM.  Do not send callers any money or give them any personal information.  Just hang up.
