A man out of Knott County was recently sentenced to 25-years in prison after he pleaded guilty to federal drug charges.
45-year-old Tony Minor, of Pippa Passes, took a guilty plea in August of last year to possession of meth and fentanyl with the intent to distribute, along with possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug crime.
In the plea agreement, Minor admitted to running from a traffic-stop in February of last year. When police finally caught up to him, they found him with over 100-grams of meth, repackaged for sale within nine plastic baggies. A subsequent search of his home uncovered an additional 40-grams of fentanyl.
In a US District Court in Pikeville, a federal judge sentenced Minor to 298-months in prison. The ruling came on Tuesday.
