The Prestonsburg Police Department is warning people of a current phone call scam of someone spoofing the phone number for Prestonsburg Police’s 911 communications.

The police department is telling people that a phone call from the 911 communications phone number 606-886-1010 is a scam. The scammer is telling callers that they have a warrant for their arrest. The police department is advising people to not give the caller any personal information and that they will never contact you by phone regarding a warrant.
