An update from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office:

 

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Greg Poynter arrested Charles Lanham age 47 of Corbin on Friday afternoon January 13, 2023 at approximately 12:05 PM. 

 

The arrest occurred at a residence approximately 10 miles South of London off American Greeting Card Road after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a female subject had been struck in the face by a male subject there. In addition, Deputy Poynter learned that this subject had threatened the female subject as well. Upon arrival at the scene an investigation was conducted and upon arrest the male subject briefly scuffled with deputies before being taken into custody. 

 

Charles Lanham was charged with assault – 4th   degree; terroristic threatening – third-degree; resisting arrest. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
