Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is hosting a Job Fair Tomorrow from 9am to 3 pm at their Prestonsburg location at 242 West Court Street.

The upcoming job fair comes after a previous job fair that the organization held in Hazard Friday, January 20th.

“I think the hardest positions that  we have right now to fill are our licensed clinicians. As we expand our services  and grow  we have more need for licensed clinicians,” said Kathy Goble, Mountain Comprehensive Care Human Resources Director, when speaking about the positions that are difficult to fill.

Goble also elaborated on entry-level positions that will be available at the job fair. “We have our support staff which are front office staff, we have several positions available there. We have billing positions. We also have peer support positions. We have what we call community support associate positions, which work within the community with helping people with the needs they have”.

Zach Watts, Marketing Director for Mountain Comprehensive Care, said the July floods increased the amount of people calling the care center’s  24/7 helpline when speaking on how important it is to fill the open positions at the agency. “As a community mental health center, we’re kind of the first line of defense for those people. When they call our 24 hour helpline, region counselors, crisis counselors, who not only answer calls for people calling our helpline, but these are people who are also calling the national suicide prevention lifeline”

Both Goble and Watts said they are proud of the work Mountain Comprehensive Care does to help members of the community in need and provide resources to help people make a positive change in their lives.
