An update from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office:

 

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy James Fox along with Deputy Skyler McFarland  with assistance from London City Police and the Laurel County Constable’s office arrested Travis Blackwood age 29 of Gray, KY early Sunday morning February 5, 2023 at approximately 12:43 AM. 

 

The arrest occurred at a residence off McCarty Lane, approximately 7 miles South of London after deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress complaint there. Upon arrival at the scene officers located a male subject inside the residence, allegedly not his residence and noted that a rear door had been broken. 

 

Travis Blackwood was charged with burglary – third-degree; criminal mischief – second-degree; assault – 4th   degree. In addition, this subject was charged on a Whitley District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging terroristic threatening – third-degree. 

 

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
