Ronald “Ronnie” Stapleton, age 68, of Paintsville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at his home.

Ronnie was born January 19, 1955 in Johnson County, Kentucky, son of the late Darrell Stapleton and Lora Preston.

He is survived by four sisters, Linda Barnes, Frances Sue Miller, Sharon Brown, and Karen (Steve) Sluss all of Paintsville, Kentucky; three special great nephews, Bo Robbins, Mikey Robbins, Landon Thompson; great nephew, Curtis Thompson; great-great nephew, Kent Robbins; and one special great-great niece Lily Robbins; and great-great nieces Clara Robbins and Caroline Robbins.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 in the Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel with Larry Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the Preston Family Cemetery, Southside, Paintsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, February 10, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m
