
The spring forest fire season starts Tomorrow and will last until Sunday April 30th.
During this time, outdoor burning will be prohibited throughout Kentucky between 6am to 6pm.
The ban is to combat forest fires as this time of the year is more dry than other months.
According to officials, anyone who’s burn pile creates a wildfire might have to pay for the cost to extinguish the fire, even outside the ban hours.
They also advise to not start any fires during any time there are strong winds and if the dew point is very low.
