Two Arrested On Warrants In 2022 Pap’s Place Burglary Case

An update form the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department:

 

On 2/14/23 Lieutenant Wayne Bird applied for and was granted Arrest Warrants for a Burglary that occurred at Pap’s Place market in early July of 2022.  Deputy Brentley Patrick and Lt. Bird located one of the two men accused in Canadatown.

 

Later that day, Sheriff Bill Elliotte and a host of his deputies with the assistance of a Kentucky State Police K-9 unit ascended on a residence off HWY 204 to attempt to locate the second person accused. This suspect observed deputies approaching and fled on foot. Sheriff Bill Elliotte was able to intercept the suspect and successfully place him under arrest.

 

Jerry Alvin Canada, age 28 of Canadatown,  was arrested and charged with a Whitley County Complaint Warrant for Burglary 3rd. He also was charged with Fleeing Police, Resisting Arrest, and served with approximately 7 other warrants including an Indictment Warrant for Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief 1st.

 

William Canada, age 27 of Canadatown, was arrested on a Whitley County Complaint Warrant for Burglary 3rd Degree.
