Floyd County Fiscal Court announced a river flood advisory for Levisa Fork at Prestonsburg.

Floyd County Fiscal Court officials said the flood advisory is in effect until early Sunday morning. The flood advisory is in effect due to rising water caused by excessive rainfall that lasted throughout the night.

Officials also said that at 6:45 am today, that the river is expected to rise to a crest near 30.2 feet this afternoon and then begin to recede.
