
A man from Whitley County was arrested Saturday after law enforcement discovered two people who were severely attacked and required medical assistance.
Deputies with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fight complaint at a residence off Buck Creek Road.
When deputies arrived, they discovered a female victim who was stabbed several times and a male victim who was assaulted. Emergency Medical Services transported the female to Baptist ER, with the male victim also given medical treatment.
The man accused of the attack was found at the scene and the area of the weapon allegedly used in the stabbing. Deputies also founded a dog outside of the residence that was allegedly stabbed by the suspect.
45 year old William Young of Williamsburg was arrested and charged with 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault 2nd degree burglary, 1st degree unlawful imprisonment and cruelty to animals.
Young was placed in the Whitley County Detention Center.
