Kentucky State Police Investigating Officer-Involved Shooting in Floyd County, Releases Preliminary Findings

Kentucky State Police recently released its preliminary findings concerning a fatal shooting that happened in Floyd County, when a state trooper shot a man during a traffic stop.

According to officials, trooper Billy Ball pulled over 35 year old Glen Edward Bays of Harold after noticing his truck matched the description of a truck connected to a domestic violence case.

Those with Kentucky State Police said Bays attempted to grab a gun inside his vehicle during the stop. Trooper Ball shot and killed Bays in response.

Ball was placed on administrative leave. This is in accordance with standard procedures during the investigation of an officer-involved shooting.
