The Harlan County Sheriff’s Office announced that they are searching for a suspect connected to a stabbing.

Officials with the sheriff’s office said a woman from the community of Lynch was found stabbed several times. She was sent to Harlan ARH for treatment.

Deputies are conducting an investigation into the assault and are actively searching for a suspect.

Lieutenant John Teagle is handling the investigation.
