
A woman from Corbin pled guilty in Laurel Circuit Court for the murder of her mother, who was killed in 2018.
The woman, Christie Elizabeth McFadden, was charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence in the death of her mother, Sherry Rose.
According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Jackie Steele, McFadden was recommended to serve 27 years in prison. But, under state law, she will be eligible for parole after serving 20 years.
McFadden will appear in court on March 15th for her sentencing.
Joseph Craig McFadden also was charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, fleeing and evading police, tampering with physical evidence and theft of Rose’s vehicle.
