The man accused of killing three police officers and a K-9 Officer in Allen on June 30th of last year, is now dead.

 

Lance Stortz was found dead in the Pike County Detention Center, where he had been kept as a prisoner, on early Tuesday morning. Stortz was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after 8:00 AM.

 

There is currently no word from the Detention Center regarding the incident.

 

The Pikeville Police Department is currently investigating this incident.
