London Man Arrested After Allegedly Crashing His Truck Into A Building

An update from the City of London Police Department:

 

A London man who ran his truck into a building on Fourth Street on March 2 was arrested for driving under the influence and license not in possession.

 

Jason P. Bailey, 19, of Foster Heights Street, London, was arrested at 5:06 a.m. by London Police Ofc. Jonathan Jackson, assisted by Sgt. Ashley Taylor and Ofc. Andrew Lawson.

According to Ofc. Jackson’s report, police received a call about a vehicle that hit a building on Fourth Street near S. McWhorter Road. Upon arrival, officers found Bailey, who said that he came around the curve and struck the building.

 

Ofc. Jackson stated that Bailey had slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet, stumbling into his truck door several times. Bailey also had a strong odor of alcohol.

 

Bailey refused to take a field sobriety test, as well as other tests after he was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
