Perry County Fiscal Court will be hosting lifeguard training sessions this weekend at the Pavilion in Downtown Hazard.
The training costs $250 with the certification lasting for two years. Those interested must complete the online portion of the class by this Friday at 12 am.
10 slots are open and are on a first-come first-served basis. A wait list will be made in the event that more than 10 people show up. A second class will be offered if there is enough interest.
You must be 16 years old by this Sunday to participate in the class and you must sign up in person in Judge Alexander’s office on the first floor of the old courthouse if you are interested.
