The Floyd County Fiscal Court would like to remind the community of a burn ban that is in effect from now through April 30th.

The burn ban is in effect as we are currently in a Kentucky forest fire hazard season. The forest fire hazard seasons are February 15th through April 30th and October 1st through December 15th.

The burn ban states that there is to be no burning before 6 pm, with 6 pm to 6 am being the time where burning is accepted.
