
Johnson County Schools announced they will be partnering with UPike for the JCHS Dual College Academy, a new program where Johnson Central Students will receive up to a full year of college for free.
The partnership allows students to complete general education core classes for college while staying on campus.
According to school officials, students will still be able to take additional online courses at the dual credit rate.
The general education core classes available in the program are:
- ENGLISH 111/112
- MTH 105 Contemporary College Math
- MTH 113 College Pre-Calculus Algebra
- MTH 114 Trigonometry
- CHEM 100 & CHEM 101 LAB
- HIS 225/226 American History Part 1 & 2
- COM 225 Fund of Speech Communications
- FMA 135 Intro to Film and Media Arts
