Pike County Man Arrested on Federal Child Porn Charges

arrest-8

A man out of Pike County was arrested over the weekend on federal child porn charges after having more charges placed on him.

On Saturday night, police conducted a traffic stop on a car on U.S. 23. Police then discovered that the driver had a warrant out for his arrest.

When asked for his driver’s license, the driver told police he didn’t have his license on him and he provided police with two different social security numbers.

When the officer asked the driver who the passenger was, the man leaped over the guardrail and began running on foot toward a river.

The officer managed to catch up to him and arrest him after the man’s multiple attempts to resist arrest.

The man was identified as 39 year old Bill Daniel Combs of Pikeville. Combs had a warrant placed on him after he was indicted on federal charges of the production and possession of child pornography. Police discovered 27.5 suboxone films when they searched him.

The incident led to him being charged with wanton endangerment and several other charges.
