The City of Hazard Fire Department announced it will be conducting its biannual fire hydrant testing throughout the city limits starting Monday, April 24th and will last until Sunday, May 7th.

Officials are asking that all residents check their water before they do laundry during this time, as the water may be cloudy or discolored after the fire hydrants are operated.

The testing is to keep the water lines flushed and it is also needed for insurance rating requirements.
