
Now an update from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet:
FLOYD COUNTY (April 28, 2023) The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of repairs along KY 1086 in Floyd County. Crews will repair embankments from mile point 2.0 (2.0 miles East of KY 7 ) to mile point 1.5 (right fork of Steel Fork Road) in the Wayland area.
Work is expected to take two weeks as crews drill and stabilize the route. Due to the type of repair and equipment needed, the road will be closed during working hours at the worksite beginning Monday, May 1, at 8 a.m. Crews will work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday.
Motorists, including emergency vehicles, will need to seek an alternate route during this time and pay close attention to equipment parked during daytime and overnight hours.
GSI has been contracted to perform the work. Work is subject to change based on weather conditions
