Kentucky Blood Center announced that it will be conducting a blood drive in Clay County on Tuesday, May 23 from 1pm to 5pm at the Clay County Public Library.

Kentucky Blood Center is looking to increase the blood supply following more than a 12% decrease in donations in 2022 compared to 2019, the last summer before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kentucky Blood Center provides lifesaving blood products to more than 70 hospitals in Kentucky. Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements.
