Kentucky State Police in Pike County are investigating a fatal crash that left one person dead Friday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred on KY Route 1056 as 25 year old Conard Fields of Ransom, KY was driving his UTV. Fields went around a curve which caused the UTV to flip.

The Pike County Coroner confirmed that 23 year old Shelly Prater of Matewan, West Virginia had died at the scene. Prater was a passenger in the UTV during the incident.

The Investigation into the incident is ongoing.
