Psychiatrist in Pikeville Under Federal Indictment Following Raid

A psychiatrist in Pikeville is under a federal indictment after being hit with drug trafficking charges when his office was raided in December by federal authorities.

51 year old Jason Noah Stamper of Coal Run village was charged with trafficking and possession of meth and drug paraphernalia possession in December in Pike District Court.

During the raid of Stamper’s office, authorities found a bag which contained what is speculated to be meth, Vyvanse and drug trafficking paraphernalia. A federal grand jury charged Stamper Thursday Evening with distributing amphetamine.

According to the indictment, Stamper allegedly distributed amphetamine on four separate occasions. Stamper is facing $1 million in fines and a maximum of 20 years in prison for each charge if he is convicted.
