Richard Greene Newman, age 69 of Harold, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at his residence. He was born May 10, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Gomer & Eleanor Grace Newman. He was the husband of Janice Slone Newman. He was a retired coal miner. Along with his wife he is survived by his Sons: Bryan McNerney of Oregon, Christopher (Reka) Newman of Virgie & Joshua (Maudie) Newman of Harold, Kentucky; Daughter: Sunshine Rae Kersey of Lexington, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Jasmine Miller, David “DJ” Weathers Jr., Christopher Zane Newman, Morgan Anne Newman, Krista Ryann Newman, Caden Shawn Newman, Kara Grace Newman, Alivia Akers, Ethan Presley, Tristan Blaine Newman & Arianna Marie Newman; Great Grandchildren: Dastiel, Princeton & Kingston; Sister: Annabell “Tiny” Goble of Georgetown. Along with his parents she was preceded in death by his Grandchild: Keagan Music; Sister: Nadine Pearl Bartley. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 6pm at the church and will continue all day Wednesday, May 31, 2023

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11am at Pilgrims Home Old Regular Baptist Church, Grethel, Kentucky with Old Regular Baptist Ministers officiating

Burial will follow at Newman Cemetery, Hi Hat, Kentucky
