Texas Truck Driver Charged with Fleeing or Evading Police, Reckless Driving and Speeding Following Incident in Wayne County

A truck driver from Texas is currently facing charges following an incident that occurred in Wayne County over the weekend

According to officials, 911 dispatch informed deputies about a reckless driver operating a semi-truck who was running cars off the road. The truck was traveling east on HIghway 90 as the situation was reported to law enforcement Sunday night.

One deputy was already on Highway 90 when dispatched informed deputies and another deputy responded to the call to help.

According to police, the first officer observed the semi running off the road and driving over the rumble stripes several times while speeding.

The driver of the truck refused to pull over for police for nearly four miles until stopping close to the Pulaski County line.

The driver, Williams Eustace of Lubbock, Texas, refused to exit the vehicle for several minutes when deputies told him to.

Eustace was charged with fleeing or evading police, reckless driving and speeding. He was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
