The Kentucky River Area Development District Hosting Resident Meetings for Flood Victims

The Kentucky River Area Development District and SBP will be hosting resident meetings through the summer for long-term flood recovery in counties who suffered great loss during the tragic July 2022 flood.

The meetings will be held in Breathitt, Knott, Letcher and Perry Counties. The first meeting in Letcher County will be on June 22nd at Hemphill Community Center, with the first Perry County meeting being held on June 26th at Buckhorn Children’s Center, first Knott County meeting at Montgomery Baptist Church and the Breathitt County meeting at Robinson Center Auditorium.

All meetings will be held from 6pm to 8pm and will go over the long-term recovery planning process, provide an opportunity to connect with service providers and share your community’s needs.
