James “Jimmy” McNeely 77, of Lovely, Kentucky went home to be with Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at his residence. He was born on June 17, 1945 in Welch, WV to the late Boyd and Ruby (Collins) McNeely. In addition to his parents he is preceded by three brothers, two sisters, and one daughter Jamie McNeely, and three grandchildren.
James is survived by his loving wife, Sally Marcum McNeely, eight children; William (Bo) and Billy Jean McNeely of Pikeville, KY, Hurbert McNeely of Jennies Creek, WV, Lenord and Kelly McNeely of Long Branch, KY, Clifford McNeely of Long Branch, KY, Jackie and Harrison Jewell of Williamson, WV, Shirley McNeely of Long Branch, KY, Margarett and Jerry Evans of Lovely, KY Ruby Compton of Pikeville, KY. And host of grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved him very much.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm, Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Little Yellow Church, Jennies Creek, WV, with brothers Earl White and Joe Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the McNeely Cemetery of Lovely, KY. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday after 5pm until time of service.
