Verline Janke, age 82 of Beaver, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born March 2, 1941 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Estill & Mary Hamilton Newsome. She is survived by her Daughters: Kathy Mitchell & Angelina Harris both of Harold, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Heather Martin, Tiffany Adams, Mary Beth Ousley, Justin Harris & Brandon Adams; Great Grandchildren: Cashton Tackett, Caylyn Tackett, Dani-Lynn Martin, Casey Martin, London Ousley, Kaylie Shields & Triston Blankenship; Sisters: Lonnie Tackett of Beaver, Kentucky & Sylvia Kiser of Virgie, Kentucky. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her Brothers: Hatler Newsome, Donald Gene Newsome & Lonzo Newsome. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 6pm at the church and will continue all day Wednesday, June 28, 2023

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 2pm at River of Life Church, Grethel, Kentucky with River of Life Ministers officiating

Burial will follow at Family Cemetery, Grethel, Kentucky
