A man in Paintsville was recently arrested for allegedly attacking his son while using a knife.

According to Paintsville Police, 51 year old Tracy Mollette was found sitting behind a vehicle by police when they arrived at the scene. Police responded to a call concerning a man attempting to stab another man on Sixth Street. Mollette attempted to escape police on foot but gave up after a short chase.

Mollette’s son told police that him and his dad got into an altercation which led to the son requiring medical attention due to a cut on his forearm.

Mollette was arrested on assault, fleeing police and public intoxication.
