Danny “Mousie” VanHoose, age 68, of Paintsville died July 8, 2023 in Paintsville, KY. Mousie was born July 2, 1955 in Paintsville to the late James Kelly & Anna Lee VanHoose VanHoose. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Hitchcock VanHoose (3-7-2011). Danny is survived by 2 sons, Matt (Hannah) VanHoose of Winchester, KY & Justin (Breanna) VanHoose of Versailles, KY; 1 daughter, Shanna VanHoose of Tutor Key, KY; 1 brother, Robert Cecil VanHoose of Oil Springs, KY; 1 sister, Emma Katherine VanHoose of Oil Springs, KY; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Tuesday July 11 from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Wednesday. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Wednesday in the chapel of the Preston Funeral Home with Jim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the VanHoose Family Cemetery at Tutor Key, KY.
