An Eastern Kentucky Man who was wanted by police for auto theft was caught by police when they found him sleeping during an alleged burglary.

According to officials, police received a report on Saturday concerning a car that was stolen by 42 year old Bruce Williamson of Virgie. Police searched the area but couldn’t locate the car. 

Police then received another call against Williamson more than 2 hours after their search. During this call, police were informed that Williamson had broken into a garage at a home in Virgie then fell asleep inside the garage.

When police arrived on the scene, they found Willamson and the car he had allegedly stolen. Williamson was placed in jail on burglary, auto theft and other charges.
