Roy E. Amburgey, age 60 of Topmost, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday July 17, 2023, at his residence in Topmost, Kentucky. He was born on November 17, 1962, in McDowell, KY to the late Donald Ray & Faye Amburgey. He was the husband to Sharon Hunter Amburgey.

 

Roy is survived by his wife- Sharon Hunter Amburgey; Daughter- Victoria (Jonathon) Howell; Granddaughter- Caroline Reese Howell; Sister- Peggy (Marty) Thomas; Special Niece- Desirae Crum; Niece- Olivia Thomas; Aunts- Evelyn Taylor, Sue Burke, Armanda Ritchie; Special Friend- Crystal Hunter; Pet- Emily; A host of loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents- Donald Ray & Faye Amburgey; Brother- Noah Amburgey.

Funeral services for Roy E. Amburgey will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 2pm at Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Kite, Kentucky with Deffort “Honeybun” Thornsberry & Curtie Hall officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 21, 2023 after 6PM at the Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Kite, KY following through Saturday with services each evening at 7PM. Burial will follow at the Mountain Memory Gardens in Hindman, KY.
