
A former captain of the Kentucky State Police has recently been indicted on rape and sexual abuse charges in Magoffin County.
47 year Anthony Taulbee of Salyersville is charged with one count of rape in the third degree and one count of first-degree sexual abuse.
During his time with Kentucky State Police, Taulbee served as a captain in Pikeville then became a commander in Dry Ridge.
Taulbee was booked in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center after he turned himself in. He was released from jail on a $20,000 cash bond. His arraignment was held on Thursday in Magoffin Circuit Court where he pleaded not guilty to both charges.
September 18th is scheduled to be his next court appearance.
