A man out of Pike County has been handed a 46 year prison sentence following being convicted on federal child porn charges.

Back in March, 40 year old Robert Preston of Shelbiana was convicted of the production and possession of child porn and cyberstalking.

The jury determined that Preston had pressured underage girls into sending him nude pictures and videos. The underage girls were also threatened by Preston, who told them that if they didn’t continue sending him the nude material that he would expose them to their family and friends.

Along with the 46 years in prison, Preston was ordered to pay the victims $3,000 in restitution and pay a $10,000 special assessment.

Preston will be transferred from the Pike County Detention Center to the federal prison system.
