ELKHORN CITY, Ky. (August 10, 2023) – The Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call regarding a stabbing in the Elkhorn City community of Pike County on Wednesday, August 09, 2023.

KSP investigators responded to a residence on Marrowbone Creek Road and discovered one male had suffered a stab wound. The initial investigation indicated Jeffery Coleman, 42 years old of Shelbiana, suffered non-life threating injuries from the stab wound. Coleman was transported to a nearby hospital to seek medical attention.

This investigation will be presented to the Pike County Grand Jury.

Detective Tony Tackett is leading the investigation and was assisted on scene by KSP personnel.
