A former Floyd County educator was sentenced to three years and six months in state prison. April Bradford was also added to the sex offender registry. Bradford had pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two students, and the impact statements that Jessica Hensley and Mary Prater provided during the sentencing, were powerful.  Hensley said that Bradford being added to the sex offender list was what they wanted. Bradford will have to serve 85% of her sentence before being eligible for parole. Two interpersonal protection orders were also filed to protect the victims from Bradford.
