Marjorie Pelphrey age 86, died Sunday March 3, 2024. She was born June 27, 1937, to the late Wendell and Irene Daniel VanHoose. Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church and was an administrator with the Johnson County School System. She is survived by her husband Bob Stewart of Tutor Key, one son: Robert Royce Pelphrey of Lexington, KY, two daughters: Teddy Warner of Lexington, KY, Shannon Pelphrey of Lexington, KY, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Along with her parents Marjorie is also preceded in death by her “Almost Sister” Ruth Ann Cyrus and her twin brothers Clyde and Ernest. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Preston Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Joe Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in the Fred C. VanHoose Cemetery at Tutor Key, KY.
