The Floyd County Community Foundation recently awarded a $9,000 grant to the Floyd County Disaster and Recovery Coalition (Long-term Recovery Group). The grant will be used to support continued flood recovery efforts from the devastating July 2022 floods, according to a statement from the FCCF. The Floyd County Disaster and Recovery Coalition was set up following the 2022 floods and continues to work with many community partners to coordinate disaster recovery services and to prepare for future disasters in Floyd County. Their vision is to see all disaster-affected residents and communities restored, resilient, and ready.
