Janet Gail Hood Jervis, age 67 of Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center at 4:13pm in room 265. She was born April 7, 1956 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Charlie & Zora Barnett Hood. She was the wife of the late Zenis Jervis. They were married for 34 years. She is survived by her Son: Zenis Shawn Jervis of Morehead, KY; Stepdaughter: Charlotte Jervis Baker of Michigan; Sister: Ann Phipps of Michigan; Stepbrother: Frank (Sylvia) Hood of Bell County, Kentucky; A Host of Nieces & Nephews. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her Baby: Skeeter; Brother: Wayne Miracle; Stepbrother: Mitchum Hood. She was baptized into the Church of Christ in 2000. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Mare Creek in Stanville, Kentucky where she was the treasurer. She was a retired Michigan factory worker. Although she was legally blind, she loved to read, having read thousands of books in her lifetime and loved to on long walks in nature and loved music. She will be missed by her Sisters in Christ at the Church of Christ at Mare Creek and all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will begin Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 6pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky and after 11am  Monday, March 11, 2024 at the church

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 at 1pm at Church of Christ at Mare Creek, Stanville, Kentucky
