Darrell D. Preston, age 75, of Boons Camp died Friday March 8, 2024 at his residence. He was born June 27, 1948 in Paintsville, KY to the late Millard & Mary Butcher Preston. Darrell was a self employed carpenter. On May 5, 1973 in Meally, KY, he married Charlotte Sizemore Preston who preceded him in death. Darrell is survived by 3 sons; David Preston of Inez, KY, Dewey Preston of River, KY & Mark Murray Preston of Boons Camp, KY, 2 daughters; Alice Ann Preston of Boons Camp, KY & Mary Dawn Blevins of East Point, KY, 1 brother; Charles William Preston of Boons Camp, KY & 3 grandchildren. Friends may visit the Hurricane United Baptist Church on Sunday after 6 p.m. and all day Monday. Funeral services are scheduled for 12 noon Tuesday March 12, 2024 at the Hurricane United Baptist Church with Jim McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow in the Ballard Butcher Cemetery at Boons Camp, KY.
