Five people face criminal syndicate charges, over a scheme to smuggle drugs into the Floyd County jail. According to court records, jail Sgt. Casey Hutchinson learned that three inmates at the jail, identified as Jeffery Hunter, 34, of Melvin; Andrew Prater, 24, of Betsy Layne; and Landon Frazier, 43, of Hi Hat, had allegedly arranged for two women, identified as Hillary Hall, 38, of Harold, and Megan Elliott, 28, of Banner, to bring them drugs. Arrest warrants allege that Hall and Elliott put fentanyl into a pack of cigarettes along with a lighter and tossed the pack over the jail wall, near the kitchen door. Hutchinson intercepted the pack before the inmates retrieved it. The three inmates were already in custody and police arrested Hall, leaving only Elliott as still being wanted.
