Douglas Milton Dennison, age 72, of Boons Camp, died Friday March 15, 2024. He was born October 9, 1951, to the late Walker and Wilma Littleton Dennison. Douglas was a retired equipment operator with Bizzack Construction and a member of the West Van Lear Church of Christ. On December 28, 2000, in Pikeville, KY he married Nancy Bradley Dennison who survives. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by one son: Scott Douglas Dennison and one brother: David Walker Dennison. Also surviving are three sons; Chris Dennison of Staffordsville, KY, Shawn Dennison of Boons Camp, KY & Steven Dennison of Leander, KY, one daughter; Sara Dennison of Sitka, KY, two step sons; Daniel Burchett of Boons Camp, KY & Robert Burchett of Thelma, KY, two sisters; Cheryl Pigg of Paintsville, KY & Linda Potter of Elkhorn City, KY, thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, special nephew Robbie Pigg, special niece Robin Fairchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home and on Monday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the Meally Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Meally Church of Christ with B Joe Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Dennison Family Cemetery at Meally, KY.
