Pike County Judge-Executive Ray S. Jones expressed his opinion that the county government should not provide additional assistance to Elkhorn City until new leadership is in place after recent financial mismanagement concerns were brought to light. The other three members of the fiscal court agreed with Jones on the matter and passed a motion to that effect with a unanimous vote. Jones voiced his opinion during the fiscal court’s March 12 meeting when a request for the approval of a consent agreement between the county, Elkhorn City and the Kentucky Infrastructure Authority came on the docket.
